Cross Footed Impossible |
| I've been
getting a lot of requests for various versions of the impossible. So
here is one of them...
The cross-footed impossible is a stationary freestyle trick, though I'm working on a rolling version of the trick. In impossibles, the board actually rotates around your foot. Most of the time is doesn't exactly go end over end. Rather, it sort of rotates around the foot in a halfway lateral motion. I'm demonstrating this on a freestyle board. You should be able to do it on a street board. Instead of hooking the board under the nose, try hooking it behind the front truck. |

| Start the trick in a tail stall. Move your front foot to the rear. Your toes should be hanging over the edge of the board. | Cross your legs, and move your other foot so that you can hook you toes under the nose of the board. |

| Now the fun begins. You have to jump up off the foot that is on the tail. As you jump up, the foot that is under the nose pulls the nose up and over to the side. You are now in the air -- your weight is off the rear foot. | As the foot you crossed over flips the nose around, the other foot scoops under the tail. The effect is that the board will rotate around that foot that was on the tail. |

| In frames 5 and 6, the board is rotating around my foot. The other foot (the one that was under the nose) is up and out of the way. This is the hard part. You have to jump high enough, and lift that foot high enough, so that it is not in the way of the board. | |

| In these frames the board has flipped around my foot, and I land the trick. Like so many tricks, the secret to this one is to stay right above the board at all times. You can't land the move if you are not on top of the board. | |
