The Never Finished Games
Ecco for the Sega Saturn?

Ecco the Dolphin for the Saturn is an absolutely great, but also very
unknown mystery. Thanks to Silverfin, who also gave me the permission to use his
scanned article with two pictures of an early version of the game we can see what the
game might've been.
On the picture above we see two dolphins (one is probably Ecco) talking
or at least looking at each other. There are also dolphins in the background, along with
the seawead and rock. I would really love to see this scene in a moving state. Maybe we
could see if the game really looked so 3-dimensional like it seems to be on this picture.
But according to the look of this picture, it sure does look pretty good.

Unfortunately, the quality of this screenshot is not as good as of the first
one but we can see here Ecco swimming with some other dolphins, sort of like the
ending scenes of the Ecco games. I think on the bottom of the screen we can see some
sand and in the background should be rock, maybe covered with some seaweed.
The dolphins look very well done, in both of the screenshots. But
unfortunately we don't have anything else than those screenshots. According to the
stuff we have, the game seemed to be in a early state, since we only get to see some
dolphins in some underwater area. But still, it looks very promising and it's mysterious
why the project has been cancelled.
