PCV SYSTEM OIL CATCH

No matter how you drive, oil will get into the intake via the factory PCV system. There have been inline filter setups, but the filters will be used up rather quickly, and the soaked filters hinder the vacuum required to keep the PCV system functioning correctly. The catch can will collect the oil inside the can, and gravity keeps it out of your intake manifold.

They are especially important for cars with Turbo or Superchargers.

Do a search on Ebay "Oil Catch Can" to find them.

Do a search on Yahoo/Search Engine "Oil Catch Can", "Pvc Oil Catch" for models, and instrcutions on making your own.

Here is an Oil Catch with a Breather: http://www.allpar.com/fix/pcv-breather.html

Sample Catch [Can]

This would go between the hose that comes from the PC, to the the lower intake plenum.

The cap to the left is the plug for the bottom.  Remove it to drain oil that "catches" in the device.

I do not know EXACTLY what container that is, but the fittings screwed right into it.
