They have developed a set of six throttle bodies with K&N air cleaner to suit the Mitsubishi V6 motors. From the standard 140 kw @ 5500 rpm (Average 3.0 V6) we expect at least a 50% improvement of up to 220 kw @ 5500 rpm with even greater improvements on modified motors. .
They are developing one conversion to go across the whole Mitsubishi V6 range. What this includes is a modified lower intake manifold, six individual throttle bodies point straight towards the bonnet with there own ram tubes of varying length to suit the desired application, covered either with a carbon fiber air box with a 3" outlet for a hose and ram pod filter or a large K&N Air Cleaner. The carbon fiber box will also handle up to 3 psi pressure for those who can devise a cold air induction design.
These throttle bodies will be suitable for the 2.0, 2.5, 3.0 & 3.5
V6 SOHC & DOHC motors which would be expected to create even greater
horsepower. Any additional improvements like a forced induction setup will
give even greater gains.
