Free-fall
Use a short fat string, such as you'd use for Arctic figures (e.g. 3/4 span, 3 mm nylon).
- Opening A.
- Pass L2 and L3 into L2 loop from above to pick up L2n (which has the effect of
transferring L2 loop to L3 with a half twist away from you).
- Release R2.
- Transfer R5 to R2, inserting from below.
- Pass R3 over R2 loop, and pick up R1f. Release R1.
- Pass R1 into R2 loop from below, and pick up R3n.
- Pass R5 over R3f, to pick up R2f.
- Slide R3 down the back of L3 to pick up L3 loop from above. Return, releasing L3.
- Navaho R3. Release R2.
- Extend tightly, then carefully release R3.
This figure is similar to the skunk, a South American figure, but with
different crossings and a very different method of construction. To me it looks
like a man in a pair of overalls or a parachute suit (hence the name). You can
also release the RH and let him hang upside-down like a bungy jumper.
