    The given page describes graphic engine Digital Nature. You can find here some description of the programm, download files and gallery. The engine "Digital Nature" and programm "Environment editor" were created by Vorsin S.V. and images in gallery as well.

    Programm characteristics:

  • Maximum terrain sector size: 2048x2048.
  • Terrain block size: 4, 8 or 16.
  • Terrain shaded with lightmaps. Terrain shadows casting.
  • Fractal terrain generation, ready-made maps (may be taken from orbital stations scans: MOLA etc.) support as well.
  • Bump mapping support
  • Terrain render uses Pixel Shaders, 4 texture stages: 1 - Light map; 2 - User defined textures; 3 - Generated grass\cliff\snow textures; 4 - User defined bump mapping
  • Trees, plants. May be fractal or an external models (3DS etc.). 3D/2D redner. Max. count 65534 per sector.
  • Fractal forest generation (different types of forest supported)
  • Dynamical sky lighting (24 hours), background cubemap support also.
  • Clouds. 4 Layers (not planes)
  • Sea plane. Dynamical reflection, transparency, specular highlights.
  • External models support. Uses Pixel Shaders & Vertex Shaders. Render with all the properties of material: bump mapping, environment reflection, shadows, specular highlights, transparency etc.
  • It was developed under DX8.1, on VC6.0.
