HALLOWEEN—THE
PRECIOUS TRUTH This booklet is not to be sold! It is a free educational service in

commonly spelled without the apostrophe is truly PAGAN! All of the symbols
and customs come from ancient heath mythology! Why then should any real
Christian even observe a day that includes witches, goblins, demons,
skeletons or the like? In a Christian society—millions each year keep
“Halloween” and they don’t seek to prove the truth regarding this holiday to
themselves. Now you CAN PROVE THE TRUTH! Here is that PRECIOUS TRUTH! MICHAEL W. STEVENSON ARE YOU A SLAVE to the custom of
observing paganism? Do you keep blindly whatever holiday that you are told to
keep or led to think is “Christian”? Do you keep whatever day that just comes
around on the calendar that poses itself as “Christian”? More than likely you
keep, just like sheep, whatever holiday comes around and you never really
seek to understand the truth about that holiday. Well, just one of the many
holidays that many “Christians” keep, yet they never really bother to check
out is that of Halloween Each October,
many will take themselves and dress themselves up as witches, goblins,
monsters, and many other things that they try to use to scare people into
giving them candy. Many have become literal “slaves” to keeping such a
tradition and they don’t bother with checking to make sure that the Almighty
God has things to say about this very matter. Each year,
hundreds of thousands of stores stock their shelves with the traditional
“Halloween decorations” and each year they rake in thousands of dollars for
the very market of selling these things. They hold at bay the shoppers who
are willing to go and spend their dollars for the pursuit of “Halloween”! Many homes
each year and other places at that are decorated and anxious lines wait to
enter these “haunted houses” of horror to be scared by the “demons and
monsters” that walk therein. They pay for such non-sense and they don’t
bother to find out what God himself has said about such things. Why? What is
this all about? Where did we get it from? Should Christians actually be keep
such practices? A World That Is Ready Made You are born into a world that is “ready-made” and you had no
say-so into the customs, traditions, annual holidays and celebrations that
are so blindly followed and kept. You are just simply taught that such are
perfectly acceptable to keep and that there is nothing wrong with keeping
them. You are taught
in the “tooth fairy,” and that she will come and put a dime or two under your
pillow at night while you sleep. You are taught that there is an “Easter Bunny”
who goes around hiding eggs that you colored the day before and that if you
are good, Santa will come and give you presents on Christmas Eve. You are
taught that if you don’t wear green at St. Patrick’s Day, that you must be
pinched. All of these things, parents teach their children to believe in and
yet, parents themselves also where taught these as children. But does the
Almighty God approve of such teachings. Does he have anything at all that he
says one way or the other on these things? This is it that, as we all are
introduced to these myths, superstitions, lies, and fairy tales, we are
likely to pass them down to our children—UNLESS, OF COURSE, WE ARE WILLING TO
SEEK OUT THE TRUTH AND ACCEPT IT! God tells us time and time again that
he does NOT approve of those things which the pagans have set up and observe!
God tells us that it is an abomination to him to keep anything which is not
ordained of him. Since you did not ask for this holiday
of Halloween, you had no control over what the many people who observe it
would do to get you to accept it. But this is probably because of how they
are making it sound for you. Little did you understand, that a very
ancient, apostate church has followed this very practice of adopting pagan
ceremonies, then forcing them upon the “Christians”. Thus, even though Christ had actually been
resurrected on a late Sabbath afternoon, and was killed on a Wednesday, there
was still the preaching of a “Good Friday death and Easter Sunday
resurrection” that was imposed along with many of the other “holidays”.
Christ was most like born sometime in September or perhaps also on the first
day of the “Feast of Tabernacles,” yet, the birth was set for December 25 by
those responsible in the apostate Roman Catholic Church. Then came the day of
worshipping the dead on All Saints day which is now known as Halloween which
includes its traditions today of observing the dead, Satan, Samhain, wondering souls and other things. All these customs of Halloween go back
to the ancient pagan Druids and their superstitions. All Hallows Eve or All
Saints Da is now dubbed as Hallowe’en
or Halloween. The truth is, should the God-fearing
Christians (or in other words, those who love God) be keeping a day which
observes all those very traditions? A Day of Fun and Harmless Gathering of Candy I never forget the many years when I was sent out to gather
candy on Halloween. There was much that I at the time had delighted about,
not knowing and understanding what all the truth was about the very day that
I was being forced to observe. I was young enough not to understand and my
parents never informed me what the truth was because they hadn’t known the
truth about that very day. Yet, when I
began to grow older, I began to look into the customs of various pagan
holidays to find out to my surprise that the truth on these holidays are
clear—they are not of God, they are shunned by God and we should not even
attempt to partake in them. Yet, how was I to do this? I had been taught for
years when I was growing up that they were harmless. I knew however, that if
I were going to keep what God had ordained, that I therefore need to heed the
very commandments of God. But how many
of us, when growing up had learned that these holidays and their traditions
were all harmless and were all just in fun? Most people are taught, even in
school, that these pagan holidays are just in simple fun and have nothing to
do with paganism, but that it is in “the heart” that things are made bad. So,
to get young people to keep these days alive, then it comes as no surprise
that they are taught that they must accept these days as just simple and fun
holidays. But, for God’s
people it is more than simple and fun—it is about following God—it is about
abstaining from things which would bring us from the knowledge of God. Even
Paul told us that we must not accept and must not observe those things which
are of Satan, but rather make sure that we are doing what God wants of us
(Ephesians 5:10-11). Therefore, it is more acceptable of Christians to not
observe pagan holidays. But, the fact
is this, that the day known as Halloween was when the Roman Catholic Church
had taken and assigned a certain day (November 1) and called it “All Saints
Day” because they soon had more saints than they had in days of the year. So
therefore they assigned it November 1 because this was the day observed by
the pagan Druids of Ireland, who had believed that “Samhain”
who was considered the lord of the dead—who is also like Satan—would consign
the souls of their departed loved ones to bodies of animals, so with a
lighter sentence, they would placate the evil spirits of offerings of food,
or even sacrificing cats. They would take jack o’lanterns
and put them in their windows so scare away those evil spirits, lighting bon
fires, and then doing all sorts of superstitions associated with that very
night—especially their belief that witches and demons were all abroad. It’s
called today Halloween because it simply means “hallowed evening.” Or the
evening of “All Hallows.” All the things
which I had done were fascinating to the say the least, but I had no idea
what the true meaning was at the time—I had no idea that this holiday was not
harmless and that it was not in fun—but that it had more of a deeper meaning
than I had realized. I always
wanted to keep this holiday because my parents had told me it was acceptable
to keep it and that I had nothing to fear. Yet, the truth is plain—God’s
people do need to be fearful (in a loving attitude) toward God—the Eternal
who has told us not to accept paganism! Therefore, it is obvious that
Halloween is one day that we are not to accept. What about You? Haven’t you ever wondered about Halloween and wondered what it
was about? Have you ever decided to look up the origins of Halloween in the
encyclopedia and see just for yourself what it is? Here is what you would
find in the Encyclopedia Britannica (11th Edition): “Halloween or
All Hallows Eve, the name given to the 31st of October as the
vigil of Halloween or All Saints’ Day. Though now known as little else but
the eve of the Christian festival. Halloween and its formerly attendant
ceremonies long antedate Christianity. The two chief characteristics of
ancient Halloween were the lighting of bonfires and the belief that of all
nights in the year this is the one during which ghosts and witches are most
likely to wander abroad. Now on or about the first of November the Druids
held their great autumn festival and lighted fires in honor of the sun god in
thanksgiving harvest. Further, it was a Druidic belief that on the eve of
this festival, Saman (Samhain,
or Satan the devil), lord of death, called together the wicked souls that
within the past twelve months had been condemned to inhabit the bodies of
animals. “Thus, it is
clear that the main celebrations of Halloween were purely Druidical, and this
is further proved by the fact that in parts of We can look
anywhere and see a vast amount of literature that tells us plainly the real
truth of Halloween and that indeed it is clearly pagan. Yet, most people are
often so blinded by the teachings of mankind that they will, like sheep,
accept that which is not of God. The Bible is
plain in telling to us that we are not to partake of anything which “honors
the dead” or has anything to do with spiritism
(Eccl. 9:5, 10; Ps. 146:4). Why Do People Keep It? So then, does it make any difference as to whether we keep it
or not? Many people think it makes no difference if there is NO GOD! Yet, are
you willing to stake your eternal life on whether there is no God or whether there
is a God! God’s existence is provable and is also proved scientifically! For
many years, I have taught that God can be proven and we can clearly see that
he does indeed exist! The Bible is
the very instruction book given to us from our very Creator. God has the
power to either save us or to condemn us. God wants us to avoid heathen
customs (Jeremiah 10:2). When God called his own people from Millions of
people are ignorant on who actually gave that command! Believe it or
not, it was the member of the Godhead that we call “Elohim” in Genesis who
had become Jesus Christ of the New Testament—the very Creator! Notice the
proof! “In the beginning was the WORD” which also means SPOKESMAN! “and the
WORD was with God” which means more than One, “and the WORD was God. The same
was in the beginning with God.” All things were made by him (Christ being the
Creator of Genesis 1); and without him was not anything made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it
not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a
witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might
believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man
that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by
him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own (the Jews), and his own
received him not. But as many as received him, so them gave he power to become
sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”—John 1. Thus, there is
NO way of misunderstanding or misinterpreting those verse of your own Bible!
Jesus Christ was the GOD of the Old Testament! He said to the Jews, “Before
Abraham was, I AM”—John 8:58. Yet, most
churches do not accept this very truth and therefore, they stand condemned
before God! Why is this? It is because they know it leaves in a shambles
their commonly assumed doctrines that God’s laws are “done away”! Faced with
this truth that the One who wrote the Ten Commandments with his very own
finger is Jesus Christ of the New Testament, that the One who called Abraham,
Isaac, Jacob and others; the One who has said “Let there be light” is the
very Jesus Christ, they quickly hide then behind their traditions, and they
do not want to admit the truth. This same
person, Elohim has said “Let US make man in OUR image, and after OUR
likeness”—Genesis 1:26. Further he
declares that “…I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not
consumed”—Malachi 3:6. Thus, YOUR own Bible says that Jesus Christ is the
same always (Hebrews 13:8). Therefore, Jesus Christ WILL NEVER change what he
has commanded! Therefore, we
are NOT to follow the very pagan customs that the Lord God has forbid us to
observe and we should likewise, be mindful to keep what God has commanded us
to keep—we should therefore be mindful to keep and observe God’s very
commandments (Deut. 12:29-32)! You Make the Decision! As God’s people, we should be mindful that we have made the
decision to follow God and to keep his commandments because he has CALLED us
out of the world. But if you are also being called out and you are not a
member of God’s Church, then you need to make a decision. Even if you want to
follow God no matter what, then it is your responsibility to keep what God
has commanded because Jesus Christ is going to return soon to this world so
that he can JUDGE this world, and rule it with a rod of iron (Rev. 2:26;
3:21; 20:4), and thus, it means that each one of us needs to choose for
ourselves! We want you to
be sure that you are choosing the right ways. Therefore, we have made this
booklet about the truth concerning Halloween possible for you. It is your
opportunity now to make the decision to follow God and abstain from paganism
or to not to follow God and keep right on going in the direction of paganism.
