CAUGHT

I wonder how your day was today
Nothing much would have happened anyway
The same old room and the dread
The tasteless tea and the rotten bread
The same old shop where you buy your stink
The given up life taken by that drink

You know it's so hopeless that its a shame
But look no round, you know whom to blame
You let it hang on a thin thinning thread
Taking the tasteless tea, the rotten bread
The shining foil that burns deep beneath
The fumes that consume you along with it

Once there was a smile on your face
Challenges you embraced, with such grace
Now you run, just run like hell
Your world has dried from the ocean to a well
But you knew that the show must go on
All that you learnt, was wrong, it was just a song

BRIDGE:
Don't raise your head now looking for help
Don't cry, don't beg, don't crow or yelp
You know there's only a possible end
And it's not at all far, not far at all oh my friend
