In Korea, nobody celebrates Halloween, you see nothing in the stores, but since we are at an English school, they celebrate English holidays for fun. A few of the kids dressed up, not a lot, but most of the teachers were in costume. In the morning the kindergarten kids from Bub-Dong school came to Dun-San and had a little play/sing-a-long for their parents. Then they played some games like bobbing for apples, followed by a picnic at a park near the school. It was a good time, and I just hung around to take in the holiday spirit. The evening that followed involved dinner, far too much drinking, and singing, most of which I'm sure was bad, but seemed good at the time.
This is one of the worst picture ever taken off me. I'm in the middle of saying "wet." After the kid's turns, Rob and I bobbed for apples. None of the kids had managed to pick them up with their teeth, and the buckets were about the size of our heads. So as we went for the apples, the water came for us. I was the only person who got an apple out without my hands. I was told the kids talked about us bobbing for apples for days, they loved it.

This is one of my favourite pictures of me in Korea so far. Obviously that's me in a clown costume, and that's Rob behind my shoulder in the mask and cape. I think the mask is a slight improvement for him =P It was a fun day but my kids got a bit frustrated with me when I wouldn't speak to them.

Here's most of the teachers in Bub-Dong school in their costumes. Left to right is Rob, Julie, Moon, Jennifer (in the back), Terry, Vanessa, and myself.

This was dinner. Making her first appearance in my pictures is Jasmine. One of her relatives owns this restaurant. She is one of Terry's students.

We started doing hands free shots, what have been affectionately named here Canadian shots, after Rob and Terry. Things were going fine with shots of so-ju in small and large cups, but then we decided to start tornados which are so-ju dropped into beer then shaken up. The glass was too big to just grab with your lips like a shot glass, and too small to hold with your teeth, so half way through I lost control, and Terry just so happened to have perfect timing with the picture. That shirt spent half the day wet.

After having far too much to drink at the restaurant: a big pot of a traditional wine, 11 bottles of so-ju and a couple pitches of beer, we decided the best thing we could do was go and sing. Here's Rob and James singing away. James is trying to serenade me with a touching love song. I think it breaks his heart every time I tell him that I have a girlfriend and every time that I remind he does too.
