New Years eve was a good night out. I had been planning on calling Cory and Meredith for a couple weeks, but with getting sick, and Christmas, I just hadn't gotten around to it. On Monday, I had decided to give them a call to see if they wanted to get together for New Years, but they preempted me but giving me a call. I told them I was going to heading to Seoul on Saturday with Chris to see one of the palaces and take in some theatre, and going out somewhere for New Years, even though I didn't know where yet at that time, but I had heard from James that he might be available for it. So we made plans to talk in the next couple days once I had things figured out. I'm glad we got in touch. They seem really nice. They actually remind me of me and Tiff a little. I'll looking forward to getting to know them over the next 9 months. Beth and I met them at bob-dung after classes, and head to dinner, then to the usual bar to meet up with James and his friends. I was really red for some reason, and it wasn't because of alcohol because I didn't drink that much.
We got to the bar around 11:10, after our dinner. James as already there with a bunch of his friends. After moving a couple of couches, we were ready to go.

Cory downing a beer. He drank beer for the night, will the rest of us foreigners busied ourselves with lemon soju which really should have a warning on it. Warning: This drink does in fact contain alcohol. It is probably one of the best tasting alcohols I've had, and they make it special in this bar.

Of course, we had to introduce Cory and Meredith to the silk worm, larva snacks. I had yet another spoon with them. I think they are starting to grow on me. Just wait, I'll come back to Canada and have larva cravings, then what am I gonna do? You just can't win.

I have a picture with everyone looking but as usual, the casual picture was much better. I was fairly sober, but everyone else was quite drunk by this time, but in a good way. I think everyone had a lot of fun. Beth went a little overboard, and I walked her home from the cab and made sure she was safe inside before I walked home. James was worried about her, but things were fine.

One of the last drinks of the night. They call these love shots in Korea. But they are more for friendship then actual love. I did one with Que-nam as well. Using the last name first always gets me. I always call in Sim instead of Que-nam. Sex Machine is just easier =) He protests the name sometimes, but I think he likes it. He just like to sound like he doesn't.
