First night after group class. Notice the bruises on my right clavicle & all the gut stab bruises from the wooden knives. (The gut bruises were mostly from this 5'2" woman who pinned me to the wall with an extended hand & then just stabbed away!) BTW do my hips look fat? (and no ragging on my nipples!)

Yeah! Instructor Val, another of the core members of the Senshido family, who showed me the kickboxing basics. Her delts, bi's, tri's & forearms are bigger than mine too! Man, Rich watched all his instructors grow from teenagers to adults!

Here's instructor Lawrence Boivin. I really learned a lot from him: transitioning from basic grappling to ground fighting, explosive footwork, etc. Hee hee. Notice Rich and 2IC psychowoman Helen behind bars.

The wall when Lawrence was attacked by one of the larger, more aggressive mock knifers during an alive no consent blade drill. (Senshido students don't use protective gear during alive drilling) LB slammed the mock knifer's head against the wall. The really hardcore drills are the ones where plexiglass helmets are needed.
